Frito-Lay Gets Scared in to Submission, Gets Rid of Biodegradable Bags

In a move proving that Frito-Lay is more interested in selling chips than taking an environmentally friendly approach to packaging their products, they’ve decided to pull their biodegradable bags from all of their sun chip lines except the original flavor.

Why? Because some customers felt the bags were ‘too loud’.

You’ve got to be kidding me. Do your part to help the planet (albeit a little louder than normal), or throw your corporate tail between your legs and cave in to a few Facebook groups who have nothing better to do than complain about ‘noise from a bag’. Yea, you made the right choice Frito-Lay. Durrrrrrrrrrrr.

I suppose that shouldn’t surprise me though. After all, they are in the business of selling chips. What should they care about the environment?

Finally it looked like a large company was finally starting to care about the impact of their packaging on the environment, to take a stance and help our planet, and they back down like a scared mouse in the face of a pack of hungry cats. Way to go Frito-Lay, you’ve officially lost my respect, and you’ve sold me the last bag of sun chips I’ll ever buy.

Additional Information:

Frito-Lay is owned by PepsiCo.

Coke is better than Pepsi.

If you’re upset about Frito-Lays decision, let them know.
